RESCUE HOUSE LEADERSHIP
MATT & LAUREN HUDSON
Lead Pastor and Wife
Matt Hudson is the founding and lead pastor of Rescue House Church, a multi-campus movement of God in the triad of North Carolina. His unique approach to sharing the Word of God and its practical application in our daily lives is igniting the church, so that lost people cross from death to life and continue taking steps to follow Jesus.
Lauren is originally from Philadelphia, PA and proud of her northern roots. She studied Psychology at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in 2007 and Master’s degree in 2008.
Pastor Matt and Lauren have two sons, Shapiro and Miller, and recently had a baby girl, Merrick, in March 2018. The Hudsons enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing sports, and doing outdoor activities.
Julie has been a part of Rescue House since our launch in 2010. After volunteering, Julie joined our staff as our Children’s Director. Over the last decade, Julie has embraced several roles and now serves as the Executive Pastor, where she loves serving our entire church overseeing operations. She is passionate about developing leaders, and seeing the church help people discover who God made them to be!
Julie’s favorite role is being a wife to Curtis, mom to Landon and Caitlin, and “Mimi” to Hayden. She also loves traveling and kayaking!
Chris Holbrook grew up in the Triad of North Carolina, and his family has been a part of Rescue House since 2013. Chris is passionate about people meeting Jesus and taking next steps in their faith to follow Him. He received his Master’s in Divinity at Liberty University, in 2014. Chris joined the staff in 2015 as the Campus Pastor of Rescue House Mocksville, overseeing all operations, leadership, and community events at the Mocksville Campus. He has recently transitioned to the Creative Pastor role with a passion to engage people with the truth of the gospel.
Chris, his wife Jessica, and their three boys Jonah, Jude, and Luke reside in Mocksville, NC.
Harry grew up in Starke, Florida. He graduated from Liberty University in 2002 with a Bachelors in Religion, Biblical Studies. He, and his wife, Kristen first visited Rescue House Church in 2012. After that first visit Harry felt very strongly that God was leading them to leave Florida and be a part of Rescue House. In January of 2016, they loaded up a U-Haul and moved to North Carolina.
Harry and Kristen are the proud parents of Anniston, Truett and Parker. Harry enjoys spending time with his family, eating and reading. Harry believes that life is better connected.
Jason is a pastor, musician, & maker of things, born & raised in Jackson, MS. He’s been getting paid to play music here, there, & everywhere since he was 15. He agrees it’s not normal. Then in 2011, the Lord called Jason out of the music business into worship ministry, & he has spent every day since then chasing after a dream of the Church being a force that creates culture, rather than simply responding to culture.
Before joining Rescue House in early 2020, Jason spent 7 years leading worship & pastoring in Bay Area California, where he met his wife & primary creative collaborator, Katelyn. They live in Winston Salem with their daughter Penelope & two insane cats, watch the same shows over & over, & get all of their food from Trader Joes.
Kids House Director
Jessie grew up in Davie County, North Carolina and was one of Rescue House’s first students in our Student Ministry back in 2010. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina University in 2017 and felt called back to Rescue House, so that she can fully invest in the next generation as our Mocksville Kids House Director.
She has a passion for the next generation of the church and for creating a fun environment for them to meet Jesus, build relationships, and grow a strong foundation in their faith that will carry them beyond grade school – just as our student ministry did for her!
Kids House Director
Kristen was born and raised in Starke, FL. In the summer of 2015 she felt God preparing and calling her into ministry. In 2016, Kristen and her family moved from FL to NC, in order to be a part of Rescue House Church. Since then, she has had the honor of leading our Kids House Ministry at the Winston Salem Campus. Kristen is passionate about pointing kids to Jesus and enjoys seeing them excited about Church.
Kristen is a brand new connoisseur of coffee (with lots of cream). Her and her husband, Harry, live in Advance and are the proud parents of Anniston, Truett and Parker. Go Duke!
Digital Media Director
Becca is a local, home-grown product of the Triad. She grew up in Lexington and still lives there today. Becca has been doing graphic design for over 10 years and graduated from Guilford Technical Community College with her associates in Advertising and Graphic Design! She and her family began attending Rescue House in 2016 and she hasn’t looked back since. Becca discovered who God made her to be here at Rescue House and has a huge passion for helping others do the same!
You can find her leading worship, creating and designing graphics, chasing her twin boys around, all while running on the power of the Holy Spirit and Red Bull! 🙂
Caleb has been leading students since 2016. He has experience leading Young Life, taking students overseas to serve on mission, speaking at camps/retreats, and partnering with the church to serve families and students as a Pastor.
His family moved to North Carolina when Caleb was 14 years old and he considers North Carolina his home. He is confident in his calling to reach the next generation. Caleb has no doubt that God has brought him to the Triad and he is expectant of the life-changing power of the Gospel to work in the lives of our families and students here at Rescue House Church.
James has grown up in the Triad and surrounding areas and graduated from Forsyth Tech in 2003 with a degree in computer networking. He and his wife, Laura, have been a part of Rescue House Church since 2014. Laura was actually the first person to accept Christ at our Winston Salem campus. After serving four years as the Winston-Salem Production Director, James is now the Technical Director. He oversees the technical and production operations church-wide and has a passion for putting the gospel on display in the most excellent way through technology.
James enjoys spending time with his wife, relaxing with his dog, Lyla, playing disc golf, and serving as the hands and feet of Jesus at Rescue House Church.
