Day Eighteen

Heavenly Father,

Today we lift up a prayer for discipleship! In your word we know that your precious son, Jesus has all authority in heaven and earth and then commissions us to go and make disciples! Please Lord, we ask you to show us what that looks like. We thank you for Jesus being our one and only rabbi, our high priest! We pray you’d help us to learn your ways and to reach those around us, here locally in Mocksville, but all over the state, nation and even around the world.

We pray that you would show us how to teach and obey your commandment of baptism, help us to show others how to declare their relationship with you in an expression of baptism. 

Lord, we ask that you show us how to learn to know you more by studying and obeying your holy word. Show us how to read, understand and apply your scriptures in our every day life, we thank you for how your word is alive and living today for us to be sharpened by and uplifted! Help us to delight in your word and to use it to honor you.

We thank you for the ultimate example of love that you displayed in Jesus Christ. We ask that you help us to learn to deny ourselves, letting go of our own ways and pick up our crosses to follow you! Help us to love others the way that you love us. We thank you for walking with us daily to help us become more like your son Jesus. It’s in His name we pray,
